Introducing the BE@RBRICK Royal Selangor Arabesque Golden. Coveted toy manufacturer Medicom Toy has once again teamed up with Malaysian pewter maker Royal Selangor. The Special Edition 400% Arabesque Golden BE@RBRICK ROYAL SELANGOR celebrates the language of steel engraving, a technique associated with fine metalwork, based on swirling patterns.
The arabesque design is based on a hand-carved prototype by a craftsman and shines in a golden color!
Since first appearing in Tokyo in 2001, the BE@RBRICK, a cartoon-like figure of a bear, has acquired international cult status. Released by Medicom Toy in a variety of materials and sizes, and with contributions from a host of international collaborators, the figure embodies the intersection of contemporary notions of art, style, design, and fashion.
